Current Projects, Programs and Activities
CRP is active in community planning and researching, compiling, and providing planning tools for citizens and communities.
State of the Coast Conference : CRP is currently collaborating with other agencies and is working on the State of the Coast Conference which is held annually. The conference focuses on the change in social, economic, and physical landscapes along the North Shore. This conference offers pertinent information on regional challenges and explores innovative ways to address issues affecting residents.
Tofte Community Planning : CRP is currently working with Tofte Township on their comprehensive community plan. This is the first phase in the Township's planning process, leading to projects that will achieve their vision for their community. Projects may include such things as updating their zoning ordinance, trail construction and access to the community center, and the creation of a detailed plan for their village center.

Collaboration : One of the strengths of CRP is our community-based focus on creating plans and building social capital by developing local leadership in community planning. We use a planning process that can provide alternative ways to create community plans and help resolve disputes that may arise during the process. To enhance and complete community planning we actively seek collaboration with other organizations who can provide other areas of expertise. CRP is dedicated to actively collaborating with other organizations to coordinate and discuss how to best meet the planning needs of local communities.
Community Planning : To date, CRP has met with numerous Townships along the North Shore exploring their planning needs and looking at ways CRP could assist them.
